New York

Named by Native Americans, there are actually more lakes than a human hand. The official lakes are Canandaigua, Keuka, Seneca, Cayuga, Skaneateles & Owasco, with several more smaller lakes. The area is know for the wonderful wine produced by the vineyards up the hillsides of the lakes.

Rolling countryside, crops of corn and wheat, fruit farms and vineyards. Not the urban Big Apple, for sure!

The Village of Honeoye Falls is in the Town of Mendon, New York. It is set on Honeoye Creek, where early settlers used the creek to mill flour and corn. Plus it's my hometown!
